All of my classmates love this session! We all love our lecturer – Dr Naren! He is very patient with us, he bear with us even if we are too dumb to understand very simple things. Sometimes we are quite slow to catch up new information especially every Monday’s early morning class, we havent recover from the comfortableness of the weekend!! And he is so considerate!!
In this class, we learnt our hands-on. I believe that most of us are familiar to venipuncture, which is a process of drawing blood from our veins. Another fun activities are palpation and percussion of the abdomen. We practice this on a real stimulated patient, which our school hire for us. I remember we did this on March or April 2019, this is the first time we practice on a real patient, before this, we usually practice on mannequins. Most of us are excited and worried at the same time, we are worried that we might hurt the patient or perform the wrong procedure. But our worries were soon overcame by the excitement and the more we perform, we became more confident.
This is the session where we get a close grip to our clinical phase. We all are excited for every CSS class and I hope that we won’t forget the hands-on and theory we learnt in this session.
